ABOMS Regional Advisors: Who They Are and What They Do

May 16, 2022

Appointed by the Board, Regional Advisors are asked to encourage Diplomates to begin their journey as an ABOMS Examiner. The individuals selected to serve in this role have long standing relationships with the Board and have made significant contributions to the specialty serving on the Examination Committee.

The Board assigns a person to each of the six regions. Regional Advisors will review and interview the applicants from their geographical region and advise the Board of Directors of their professionalism, areas of expertise, and potential for contributions to the certifying process. Regional Advisors are appointed for one year, with annual consideration for reappointment for a maximum of three years.

The Board encourages anyone who is interested in becoming an Examiner to reach out to the Regional Advisor in your district.
